A Space to talk about… Settling into Secondary School
One experience we all go through is the transition from primary to secondary school. This leaflet is designed to support Year 7 students in thinking about the mixed feelings that this change can bring.
Year 7 marks the start of an important stage in life for all young people. Adjusting to a new school and the many changes this brings takes time. Being surrounded by older, bigger, louder students and feeling the smallest and youngest all over again can make anyone feel a little nervous! This leaflet encourages pupils to reflect on the impact of moving up and to explore the range of feelings that can be evoked.
